Electronic Arts and studio DICE have released the first-person shooter Battlefield 4. It launched on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Next-gen consoles haven’t yet been confirmed platforms for the title.
About the previous version, Battlefield 3 became a massive hit for publisher Electronic Arts, topping 10 million sold four months after launching October 2011.
The visuals in question are courtesy of DICE’s very new and very shiny Frostbite 3 engine, which EA claims to be the “future of interactive entertainment.” Judging by the apparent success that the developer has had with implementing the enhanced Frostbite engine into BF4, these claims certainly seem valid for the time being.
